Graça Nieto Guimarães and António Pérez Babo founded the gng.apb studio in 1987.
The studio is situated at the first floor of a typical XIX century Porto building in Rua João das Regras, Porto which whole rehabilitation project and work won the João de Almada Price.
The gng.apb is certified by NP ISO EN 9001:2008 since 2008 for quality systems in the following activities “Services Provision for Projects Development of Architecture and Planning”.
Our activity has been concerned essentially in the issues of urban and regional planning, urbanism, architecture, transports and mobility. In architecture and urbanism it is given prominence to public space projects and public equipments of sports and tourism, education, health and transports and also urban rehabilitation projects.
In architecture and urbanism the most significant projects are: the requalification of the Paths of Romantic during Porto 2001 European Culture Capital, the requalification of Marquês do Pombal and public space in Estremoz, in co-author, and also the renovation of General Humberto Delgado Square in Santo Tirso.
In transports and mobility the most significant projects are: Master-Plan of European Advanced Industrial Park for Tianjin in China, Alcântara Valley Master-Plan in Lisbon and rehabilitation of Douro Riverfront in Oporto. Other important projects are the development of Oporto Downtown Mobility and Transports Plan (2001) and also Mobility Plans to the city center of Guimarães and Santo Tirso.
